Nordic Green Growth Event in Turku 23.5.
Innovation and entrepreneurship in the circular economy: Experiences from Southwest Finland and prospects for collaboration between Nordic regions

Nordregio in collaboration with Turku University of Applied Sciences organized a Road Show Event of Nordic Green Growth on Monday 23 May in SparkUp Turku, Finland. The aim of the Nordic Road Show Event was to present latest research on Nordic Green Growth and discuss how green growth can be promoted at the national and regional level in the Nordic region.
In Turku, the participants learned more about the circular economy approach and business creation in Southwest Finland. Furthermore, they engaged in discussions with practitioners and policy-makers regarding mutual Nordic learning and opportunities for future collaborations across the Nordic regions with the view of enhancing green growth and green exports.
The event was opened by the principal of Turku University of Applied Sciences, Vesa Taatila.

Kiertotalouden innovaatiot ja yrittäjyys: Kokemuksia Varsinais-Suomesta sekä pohjoismaisen alueiden välisen yhteistyön mahdollisuuksia

Turun ammattikorkeakoulu ja Nordregio järjestivät yhteistyössä Nordic Green Growth -tapahtuman, jossa päästiin tutustumaan Varsinais-Suomen parhaisiin käytänteisiin vihreän kasvun ja kiertotalouden saralla. Lisäksi saatiin aikaiseksi keskustelua Varsinais-Suomen ja muiden pohjoismaisten alueiden vielä hyödyntämättömistä mahdollisuuksista näillä sektoreilla. Aiheina olivat mm. innovaatiot ja yrittäjyys kiertotalouden parissa, pohjoismainen yhteistyö sekä vihreän kasvun viennin edistäminen.
Tapahtumaan osallistuivat Varsinais-Suomen alueen kiertotalouden ja vihreän kasvun toimijat. Edustettuina Turussa olivat mm. alue- ja paikallishallinto, tutkimus-, teknologia- ja innovaatiotoimijat, yrityshautomot sekä muut kierto- ja biotalouden liiketoiminnan kehittämiseen keskittyvät tahot. Mukana oli myös kierto- ja biotaloustoimijoita muista Pohjoismaista.
